I went to nascar.com and they have it rumored that UPS wants to ride with the 99 of Carl Edwards.

Edwards already has full time sponsorship for 09.....Imo it'll be David Ragan

April 22, 2008, guess Edwards is all sorted out by now. But I guess I can work this both ways in the future. For instance, say I want a particular story to have my own slant. I'll just go into the news archives and get the right blurb for the moment. Sorta like photoshopping a picture.

What is UPS thinking. Once again they decide on a third rate driver. They should have gone with Ryan Newman. It worked out ok with Jarrett but lets not forget that they originally want Buckshot Jones...anyone know where he is now? For a top rate company they need to learn to go with the best available. At least they left Waltrip racing and Toyota. So I guess 2/3 of the deal was good

Actually he isn't in the Chase, came close though. Came much closer than the 44 did.

It's kinda comical that UPS announces their new driver and team just as their current team is coming off two straight top 10 finishes and is looking much improved. Ragan is a good driver but I don't like Roush's organization. It's hard running 5 teams and make them all competitive. The #6 team used to be his pet team because it's the one he started out with but Roush's new pet team is the #99. I just feel that the #6 team is going the way of the #26 team which is running horribly. Of course, I don't think MWR is going to get much better overall but they do have a great driver. Reutimann is very well respected and is very talented. He's just struggling a bit with subpar equipment but they are getting better every week. The writing was on the wall though with the UPS sponsorship. I mean, have they done any commercials or promotion with David Reutimann?
I think the reason hes doing better (not saying hes not talented personally i think he fits UPS pretty well) is the top contenders are already in the chase and dont have to push to get in, sort of a rest before the storm. And the reason they didnt do any promotions with Reutimann is because they knew he was going to be less that a yr driver for them.
I think we'll do fine, Roucsh is a good team and hes not afraid to spend money....all of his cars do pretty decently.
