You know that isn't how it works everywhere. Local 25 perfect example. They only appoint who they want to be steward. There are no elections, only hand pickings.

Under Local 25 bylaws you can request a stewards election. The current steward gets to hold the job for one year between elections. If noone runs for the job then they usually appoint. Things being done differrant now? Delete some of your inbox messages Sleve.

Ok, I will. That is interesting because a BA told me what I said last November. He said that only when a steward steps down do they appoint new ones, and they are appointed by "him" only. I asked about elections he said no, only appointed by the "new" BA.

Don't bothe3r putting in grievance about UPS, because the Union doesn't do anything about it. I've done it before and didn't do nothing about it. I had a beef with a supervisor and they never did anything.

...or it could simply be that your grievance didn't have merit.
