The way I see it it will ensure that you lifted the hood and hopefully did a pre trip.Maybe in the near future, you wont be able to put in a leave bldg time in until you do.I asked the Automotive Sup about it & he said there will be a Diad upgrade so you can scan the car # instead of keying it in. What will this save UPS?
Pay attention. It's not under the hood, it's on the engine cover in the cab next to the dvir book.
I noticed a similar sticker on a truck I took out yesterday. I was wondering the same thing, but it only make sense that we can scan our truck number in just like how I scan in my drop boxes when I pick them up.
I was under the impression that that is the new scan barcode for the PT sups that are going into each car in the early mornings and scanning packages. First they scan the barcode, then scan random packages in your truck and then cross check that at the end of the day to make sure the driver scanned every package that was scanned in the morning.
Thats a load of crap, its a daily audit to ensure every package scanned in the audit, gets scanned that day.Personally I find it degrading.I do my jobIn my preload the PT Supes do what you mentioned but I was told that is to check our packages per hour
...
A new sticker has been placed on the engine cover on all the package cars in the center. What's up? Maybe a digital DVIR, finally?
Dude, we scanned your barcode pic.
We know who you are.............
