Nope!

6 months to discuss drones, self driving trucks, etc.??? The union can insist on discussing for 5 years, but if there isn’t anything in there to keep ups from replacing us with robots down the road UPS will still do it!

Regular drivers will be replaced with combo drivers. There’s nothing stopping UPS from pushing all the work to weekends for combo drivers and cutting our routes Monday and Friday, then nailing us for 13 hour days Tuesday-Thursday. And still keep us from being able to file 9.5. And while there is some level of protection this contract, UPS will chip away at it every 5 years til we are all gone. They’ll harass us, cut hours, cut routes or whatever it takes to get rid of us.

What happened to the excessive OT protection we were promised early in negotiations? Cutting routes isn’t a solution. What about better harassment protection we were promised?

The only thing we get out of this is $400 more for pension.

But between automation, combo drivers and typical attrition less than half of us will see that increase! As much as we complain about this job, it’s still a good career worth protecting.

Vote no and. It vote out anyone that tries to sell us on this BS contract.

Don’t be afraid to strike! UPS can afford it less than we can. A few days without pay is a lot better than looking for a job 5 years before you planned on retiring!

NO STRIKE! so many people crying wolf with this combination driver thing. We in the west coast already have this position. It’s called Temporary Cover Driver. They have been working full-time hours taking full-time work and us Full-time drivers still have plenty of work.

Which one of these points of the Tentative Agreement are you OK with?

"Us full time drivers still have plenty of work"

Well that pretty much sums up your selfishness.... You've got your's, so who cares if your Union coworkers get cheated out of the same pay you make.

Now you're going to have temporary cover drivers AND 25% of your drivers are going to be 22.4 second class drivers. Brilliant.

So you're saying that 22.4 employees will make less, have no 9.5 protection, AND it won't do anything to reduce excessive overtime for drivers?

If everyone at my center votes the way they say, this thing is going to be a massive failure.

Other parts of the country have this as well but the new combo drivers will work Saturday and Sunday delivering packages that would’ve been delivered Monday leaving very few packages for Monday delivery. The new combo drivers are guaranteed 40 hours, so are we “if work is available”, very different thing being proposed here.
