Ha, appreciate it but I think you got LAR (0313) mixed up with Recon (0321)
LAR isn't much all that much different from regular infantry except you ride around in an LAV instead of humping everywhere. I got a few buddies who ended up in 1st Force Recon though and they feel pretty much the same way as me about women in the military, ie, as long as they meet the same standards they get the job.

My crayons must be acting up again. Yes I actually confused LAR with Light Infantry...

I think the doctor shortage more than likely stems from too many doctors retiring, and too many choosing to not enter the field, because of Obamacare.

And I never once said I was 0311. I have had forward assignments, but that is common through many MOS.

And the debate in this thread is mainly harkening on the same question, as to whether or not females are able to function as well as males in combat-intensive MOS. Infantry. You did not say you were ever infantry, so what do you know about the qualifications a human being must possess in order to win wars as an infantryman/woman?

Come on now, if anyone chooses to work part time and their employer is happy.with the arrangement for whatever reason who are we to criticize? Freedom of choice! I'm certain that female doctors put in incredible hours in their residency before they get to the point where they can choose to go part time.

That neither you nor me are qualified to speak on the requirements one must have in order to fight in the infantry. All of the infantrymen that posted on this thread thus far have expressed observations based on their past experiences doing that job, and that as long as a woman meets the same PFT/CFT standards then there is no issue having women in 0311. There are already some as we speak.

Secondly, I know what a woman is and I know what a man is. And I know exactly what infantry life is. Cheerleading has more injuries than football, because women generally suck at not getting hurt. They suck at fighting. They suck at being strong. And they suck squadmates.

They're bad for morale, and totally unreliable, at best, to physically withstand the rigors of a real Marine career, even if they are capable of passing a standard.

Which they're not capable of passing a standard. The vast majority of female Marines cannot do 6 real pull-ups. And they're lifing half to 2/3 the weight of the men. They're a complete and total joke, and are basically issued as mattresses.

Whether you like it or not Trump is the guy who gets to choose. Harry Reid shouldn't have made Senate decisions require only a simple majority in 2013. Democrats shouldn't have nominated such a horrendous candidate in 2016. Elections have consequences.

You cannot see them when you want if half of the grads eventually go part-time at some point in their careers.

They wasted your time. They're not taking your call. They aren't keeping the office hours. They see and treat fewer patients.
You can pay out of pocket all you want. But you're not seeing them if they're not even working.
