It really just comes down to envy and greed. You see where it gets you. Blacks immediately post slavery probably didn’t hate us as much as they do now, and actually, they did really well for themselves. The resentment among them has been building for a long time and it’s culturally accepted that any struggle of theirs is due to the white man.

I actually remember from my childhood a lesson I wasn’t able to fully comprehend. I had a good friend thru kindergarten who was black. We lived in the same neighborhood. He used to be at my house all the time, we played Wiffle ball and basketball etc. His mother basically told him one day that she didn’t want him hanging out with us anymore, my other friends who were white. I’m Hispanic and I guess we don’t make the list either. But yeah, it was one of the first lessons I learned looking back where that mentality surfaced.

Permits to carry issued within the state are not valid in NYC unless NYC has validated your license.
In NY, citizens have the duty to retreat from attackers if they feel they can safely do so.
