If it not been for the riot, there would have been an electoral commission and a 10 day audit.
Now are you trying to tell me that this spineless and weakly worded letter would have had the rioters turning around and headed in the opposite direction?
No, read my post again.
The audit and electoral commission would have happened if not for the riot. I'm not sure how you managed to get that very simple statement backwards.

Very good article on something that was never going to happen, in spite of what some posters think.

On Jan. 2, 2021, Cruz unveiled his plan for states to start an “emergency 10-day audit,” backed by 10 other senators. The idea was met with ridicule even from some of Trump’s most vociferous supporters. “Proposing a commission at this late date — which has zero chance of becoming reality — is not effectively fighting for President Trump,” Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) said on Twitter. The conservative magazine National Review lambasted the idea in an article headlined: “The Folly of the Cruz Eleven.”

And it would have lacked the legal standing to have made any difference whatsoever. And what makes you believe that it would have satisfied the organizers resulting in them calling off the riot?

It would have never got started or completed on time , would have been completely powerless and would have changed nothing.

LOL
Ted Cruz wrote the letter.
Lindsey Graham is irrelevant.

If not for the riot, the constitutionally legal process of ensuring voting integrity with a 10 day audit and electoral commission would have happened.

The riot is the best thing that's happened to Democrats in ages.

If you are completely convinced that your evidence free allegations of voter fraud will succeed in court....then stand and deliver.
But keep in mind, the entire nation has simply had it with unfounded claims of voter fraud . There are people out there who make a living dreaming up conspiracy theories and when one is completely debunked....they simply move onto another one.

I know we are so tired of false claims the elections have voter fraud. Glad you are fed up with it also. Democrats just can’t understand there is no election fraud.

And that's exactly the sentiment of the American people. You can only cry "wolf" or that "the sky is falling" just so many times until you're called out and made to prove it or just keep quiet and do what the rest of the country has done....move on.
You think the rest of the country has moved on? Have they moved on from all the times Democrats said the elections in 2000, 2004, and 2016 were stolen? Stacey Abrams got beat by 50,000 votes in 2018 and she has done nothing but cry fraud with many Dems backing her. How come Democrats can make the claim but Republicans can't? If you think Joe Biden got the most votes of any candidate in history you are deluded.

Your are incorrect.
It is a constitutionally legal process.
That is not debatable.
Sure, it's constitutionally legal and so is a small town borough council meeting which power wise would have had as much power as the commission you keep coming back to. And Donald Trump's term in office ended on 1-20-21 due to his failure to gain reelection. And efforts to overturn a national election based on allegations of voter fraud failed to meet the incredible burden of proof required in order to do so.

it's never a question of what you THINK happened. All that matters is what you can PROVE happened.

What he never mentions is that the case Cruz refers to has to do with enforcing Jim Crow laws.

That's exactly right. Efforts by Democrats to overturn elections also failed to meet the burden of proof. Which in turn serves as an example of just how impossible it is to overturn a state election let alone a national election. Just ask Rudy G .Here is a guy who stupidly tried, had no supporting evidence backing his claims, had his law license suspended may end up losing it permanently and still no word if Trump reversed what he said publicly and actually pay the man for his efforts. And has anybody seen or heard anything from old Rudy these days?
