Democrats call for increased security after 'send her back' chants
Multiple Democrats are calling for more enhanced security for members of Congress, including Omar and her three closest allies who were also targeted by Trump earlier this week when he suggested they all “go back” to other countries.
Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) announced on the House floor that he plans to introduce legislation asking for more security resources for lawmakers. While members of leadership in both parties have dedicated security details, rank-and-file members do not.
“This is an important time in this country. These are dangerous times. Every member of this House needs additional security,” Green said.
“Leadership has adequate security. Members do not have adequate security. I want to thwart the efforts of those who might want to harm a member of this House,” Green continued.
I suppose now we will have to either empty out or build new "cages" to house all these Congressional members.

Nobody what anybody thinks of her she is an elected public official and when an organized group of out of control rogue federal agents makes open threats on her life and personal safety then no one's safe.
She serves on the House Oversight Committee and today they had acting DHS secretary Kevin Mc Aleenan in front of the committee . At which time she kept her cool but made an absolute fool out of McAleenan over the 10,000 social media posts that he freely admits were made by his people that made threats on her life as well as posting photo shopped images of her being raped. I thought he was going to pee his pants . She's growing up, learning the system, becoming more politically seasoned and she will be a force to be reckoned with.

I watched the hearings and the tapes of her questioning of McAleenan is a matter of public record and easy to find More importantly he freely admits the fact that his agents DID IT and the posts contains EVERYTHING she said they did.

You trying to deflect the issue and spin the narrative. The issue is this question. Given the open threats on members of the House should they be provided with security personnel to better protect them? Yes or No?

The more he said the harder they were on him. While he's only acting DHS secretary and obviously over matched unprepared the whole border mess.... it's his baby now including his personnel and their conduct.
