Are you saying that the republicans refused to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security?

They don’t need democrats for that, just the courage of their convictions.
Not to mention committing political suicide. But OK, Are those programs shelling out more than they are taking in? Time to restructure. Let's tax all income, do means testing, whatever it takes to get them solvent. And if that means reducing payments too, so be it.

And by the way, no way would the Democrats sign on to a budget that included the above.

Why should they? Republicans could cut if they wanted. They’ve had social programs in their sights for decades. Why should the democrats suddenly go along with republicans’ political suicide?

More proof that Dimocrats don't want to govern.....they just want to blame others for the sorry state of affairs they've all contributed to.

So republicans don’t want to cut social spending? If they do want to, why didn’t they?

Van says they needed Democrats to help. I think he’s making that up.

It's a moot point now, Dems certainly aren't going to. Their problem is if they get complete control again they'll spend us into oblivion.

It's well documented what happened. But you ignore it to put everything on Republicans. You're the party of spending, own it.

I think it's sweet how you call out the name of your little gay friend all the time:flirtysmile3:.

Yah, it’s funny.

Track the graphs about debt/deficit spending vis-a-vis R’s vs D’s.

Do some actual research.

Yes, yes, both parties love to spend, but when you actually drill down into the data, it’s the R administrations that are way more profligate.

Talk a good game, and confuse their sheep, but on balance, Republicans are more to blame for whatever nonsense you’re bleating about.

Look it up.

You really believe that, huh? You're saying Republicans presidents have spent more than Obama? Seriously? Not even combined.
