if your a newbie and u go into supervision with in the first year it means you can't take the physical pounding of loading, unloading etc.. of the other job.
also if you go into supervision and can't handle the mental aspect of it, how will you handle it anywhere else
it means in this particular case the guy can't handle either. which means in any job your going to have to deal with one or the other. you pick which one suits you the best and you can deal with it.
also low level supervisors just follow the leader. they do what they are told and by the numbers. higher ups don't let them use common sense.

I've heard of managers deny their full/part supervisors the transfers to I.E. even though I.E. manager wants that person.
