Part Time Supervisor Questions

Part-Time Unload sup from Saddle Brook Night here. Been a part-time sup for about 2 years now. If you're in school for engineering and don't plan on making UPS a career, definitely take the position. School is paid for, you can invest in the company at 10% discount per share, pay raise is a significant improvement and you have options to progress in the UPS company as far as career wise. If you stay an hourly, your only option is to become a driver as a full-time career. Even if there is any other option than driving, it's probably such a long wait and it wouldn't beat out an engineering major. I'm in school for engineering as well with 1 semester left until i finish. My yearly raises have been based on my production and as long as i run my area the right way i get respectably rewarded for it. No regrets taking the supervisor spot. it's all about what you want to do for a career - thats how you make your choice.
