Phil Robertson is entitled to his opinions, he didn't call for violence or anything of the sort. Most likely some peon or executive knowing what he'd say because let's face it he doesn't hide his beliefs thought that getting him an interview with GQ would cause some controversy, but they didn't expect the response from the gay organizations and acted in a way they felt appropriate, but it's obvious the majority vocal opinion disagreed.

I don't think this is a 1st amendment issue because there's no government involvement, just 2 private entities. Is it bad PR, in my opinion, but it's not illegal. If A&E decides to stand firm with this, they're going to suffer from it. The only public outcry I've seen is from a minority and I'm hearing the boycott talk and movement is gaining huge grounds.

It shouldn't even be bad PR in my opinion. Someone doesn't agree with you, so he's a bad person. Can someone grow a pair and stop acting like a bunch of whiney pathetic babies? Geez

The network made the right call. They got ahead of the bad PR that was sure to come from liberals. By the time they lift his "suspension", the story will have died down and everyone will still be making big money from the "reality" show.

The way he worded his opinions? So he doesn't put his thoughts in Shakespearean prose they way you might then that makes his thoughts wrong?

And if you read with it correctly he does not compare homosexuals to terrorists,etc. he said it's not his place to judge homosexuals , drunks, terrorists, etc. That describes a list of people he does not judge not one homosexual drunk terrorist. See the difference?

Since it has not been put back I can only"believe" it was found to be offensive.

Notice I said belief because I do not have proof of that review as "fact"

The real point of this post ---facts vs beliefs.

You can have a belief in God --or have a belief there is no God --no facts

You can believe in Abortion or not believe in Abortion ---facts can be presented by either side ---but recently when debating and discussing Abortion at a family gathering ---I was told that stating the FACT that an Abortion stops a heartbeat ----It was a very wrong thing to say !!! Is that not at the heart of the discussion ????

A&E has the right to fire and suspend ---fact
BC has the right to delete ---fact.

The focus on the Duck guy is really the fact he stated on the differences in the sexual act of straight men vs Gay men --it was and is a FACT.

God and Hell are only beliefs and can be debated forever.

As I listen to both sides of the "duck debate" I am truly amazed to see people when confronted with an absolute fact --not using slang or curse words or pornographic references ---but using Human Anatomy and Medical terms ----it is "vile and disgusting" or not family friendly.

After all is said and done about beliefs on Gay Marriage ----is not the anatomy of the Male and Female truly at the "HEART" of the debate ?????

In an interview that the company arranged and the "handler" played hooky!! No one was protecting the interest of the company. In this case they will probably lose millions because of their really inept employees (sounds like the government runs things.)
