concerned I am not applying it at least 90 days in advance as recommended but waiting on pension checks isn't a issue I just want confirmation I am all good- I already did the online check for my retirement and it matched the contract

No worries there. You get paid from your retirement date... regardless.

Congrats. I retired last year. It's everything I hoped it would be.

Well.... minus the strippers and cocaine.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
If there is a way to screw it up they will do it. I did have a small issue of my pension being short about a dollar a month. Not enough to fight over but it was an obvious error. It took UPS the full 5 months they are allowed to make corrections to adjust it and add the few dollars of back pay.
Hey, that’s 12 dollars a year! I’d have fought for it…

I will still continue on here until brown cafe is gone!!! I still remember I think it was teamster.net before this, I will still be going to union meetings, will be going to another local that has retire meetings that my parents go to on occasion. I have always been involved in the union. The strike of 97 sparked my interest in it. Been a active member ever since. Helped organize overnight freight before UPS took them over. Spent weeks and weeks before work on the picket line supporting them when Hoffa had them on strike. I maybe would like a job with the Union who knows

I'm about as Pro Union as a person can get----that being said my experience with the Union after I retired was that they basically wanted you to die and get off their "pay out" column. The Company will forget about you as soon as you walk out the door on your last day. The Union does cartwheels when you finally get old enough to be put on Medicare.
