Sorry to hear that, brother. My local is great at helping set up pensions. We got one person who’s dedicated to pension and insurance.
Well that's great, mine does and did nothing to help me with my pension. As a matter of fact they really didn't do :censored2: for me in 33 years of working there. Had a W/C issue one time....all I got from them was HMMMM sounds like you need an attorney for that. Really? Huh do you guys have one? No. Now the Teamsters in a whole? Yes of course they did a lot for me and am proud to say I was a Teamster...my local? They can pound sand.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
There’s some decent management people around, but most of them definitely resent. It’s part of the culture in management. And even the good ones when push comes to shove will throw you off the bridge if it’s to save their hide.
Long before Saturday delivery was a thing, Christmas Eve fell on a Saturday. I was a rookie, so they told me I had to work on that Saturday. First mistake was telling me I had to. Second mistake, I took care of my 4 year old son on Saturdays since my wife worked on Saturdays. I told my supe that I couldn’t work Saturday for that reason. He said “oh you’re working” I never came in. I never heard a peep about it either. That was a bitch test. I’m no one’s :censored2:in bitch.

My local was largely a joke. In bed with management

I guess it’s different in different places but I can assure you that :censored2: would never fly here lol. That group would be voted out quickly.

Hey, we found out pretty quickly what we signed up for when we got hired. Some lasted some didn’t. In my experience, most of those that got hired with me, stayed till retirement. R.I. had gone through some tough economic times in the late eighties early nineties, we had a widespread credit union collapse. They were supposed to be backed by the state, we found out they were not. I had 30k in one of them. I would have crawled over broken glass for the job at UPS

Retired 2020. Not my Problem Anymore!
Best part, someone used my diad and apparently didn’t change the name, I got 4 hrs of OT while I slept in my bed. And it rained all :censored2:in day too.

I had forgotten about it, but that happened to me also. I took the day off at the last minute and whoever ran my route (must of been a rookie) kept my name in the DIAD. I thought whoever it was would complain about being short and they would hunt down the problem, well it never happened! Thanks for the memory. 👍🏼

Same here, I expected them to catch it. I mean, who wouldn’t complain about not getting paid? It was during my progression so it was 84 dollars. Four hours time and a half! Lol
