What if it was only a couple more months?
That be one less summer I get to enjoy in good health- I am eating a healthy breakfast now, getting ready to spend time with my parents on the boat in this afternoon. No stress about tomorrow.I maybe of just stayed home if I had to work Monday. 31 years of stressing turned normal to me until now I feel so free, I have my own schedule etc

As soon as they told me I had enough hours for a 25 and out I was gone, no regrets. If they had told me that there was gonna be a buyout offer in a couple months maybe I would have stuck around to see what it was, but I can't say for sure, I wanted out of there pretty bad.

My first few months of retirement I would wake up and think to myself ā€œYou don’t have to go to work today.ā€ That always put a smile on my face and started the day off right. To this day every time I see a UPS truck I say two words… ā€œNever Again.ā€ It still feels great 4 1/2 years later.

Free at last. Free at last. Thank God all Mighty! I'm free at last!
This Christmas marks 16 years of breathing the air of freedom. My lungs still can't get enough.

Well that's great, mine does and did nothing to help me with my pension. As a matter of fact they really didn't do :censored2: for me in 33 years of working there. Had a W/C issue one time....all I got from them was HMMMM sounds like you need an attorney for that. Really? Huh do you guys have one? No. Now the Teamsters in a whole? Yes of course they did a lot for me and am proud to say I was a Teamster...my local? They can pound sand.
I hope Big Union Guy doesn't see this...

I'm upset didnt pull the trigger last year and retire at 30!!! I started thinking this recently--- I had no clue how much stress my job was actually causing me until now. Plus not being 2nd shift I get to see sunrise and sunsets. I would sleep in and missed the rise and be inside the building while sun sets. It's Sunday and it isn't a stress and rest up for Monday. I have to check phone to see what day it is when I wake up. I am looking forward to winter when its a blizzard out and I can just stay in. Just some FYI for others on the fence of deciding. This is honestly my biggest decision I had to make- Give up the nice big paycheck and convince myself I will be ok living on less.
