The problem is the way Biden withdrew.
Everyone says this but a complete withdrawal of Afghanistan would be disastrous no matter what in the end. The only way you would succeed is by keeping their air force going, keeping contractors there, keeping intelligence assets there.
There is no full withdrawal that ends with the Taliban not regaining control eventually.
Yeah, because generals getting fat paychecks at defense contractors after retiring isn't happening. We got bin Laden, and other than harboring him for a time the Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11. Most of those guys were Saudis. Continuing to get people killed for a people who won't stand and fight their oppressors is insanity. Meanwhile we give billions to Pakistan which was giving material support to the Taliban as well as hiding bin Laden.
Al Qaeda and the Taliban are thick as thieves, so yes by siding with the aggressors of 9/11 they became America’s enemy. Their country became al Qaeda’s stronghold.
You keep repeating they won’t fight for themselves, they lost like 60,000 or some crazy number. You people are just stuck on stupid with this talking point. Are they all gonna hopelessly get slaughtered because Biden basically destroyed their air support and ran like a bitch, no. Don’t see what getting bin Ladin has to do with throwing away a 20 year investment in guaranteeing that country doesn’t turn into what it is now.
Donald had a plan to end that biden ignored in his rush to get out.
how should it have ended? do you really think we should keep sending our kids over there to die?
What’s the plan then? It should of ended with the status quo maintained over this non sense. Yes all volunteer army, it is worthwhile fight against some of the worst people imaginable, no matter what you think either we were doing good over there for the people of Afghanistan as well.
