IDK, I want my government to do things, for the 'good of the people'.

Unfortunately, when governments do things for the 'good of the people', it is at the 'expense of other people'.

It is what it is - unfortunately greed and self-service are the norm - the strong and well-connected generally prevail against everyone else.

I happen to be a Darwinian so I believe in the "Survival of the Fittest".
Survival in the human species, other than staying alive and passing of genes, is the accumulation of wealth and power.
I don't believe in eliminating the 'unfit' but beyond basic survival, I fail to see how it benefits the human race to continuously take from the fittest and give to least fit.
Unfortunately, parents are usually the reason a person is unfit and therefore a never-ending progression or regression.
That is why I support public education through the high school level and then public education in college and post-grad for the fittest.

Yes they should if private enterprise does not build.
Infrastructure tends to benefit all members of society.
I feel that the infrastructure of highways should be paid for by the users of the highway or tolls or vehicle taxes.
