And nothing else is?
That's sarcasm 101.
You probably think that is subtle and intellectual ... It's not.

before they rewrite them?
You can't rewrite books that have already been created. Smh. The books exist already right now.

It is a completely sham/phony concern. It is an argument someone makes because they can't make the argument they want. Reality is most people support confederate symbols for the same reason.

Confederate symbols represents white people rightfully being in control/ in power.

The idea that black southerners/black Americans have the political, social, and economic power to remove those symbols of white dominance and power represents the real concern. It is the only concern.

The rest of this debate is just conservatives/republicans doing what they do best pretending.

"Oh Im worried about history", lol what a complete and utter lie.

I don't know if I agree but it makes as much sense as anything else you post.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. What matters is the beliefs behind the agreement or disagreement. I have yet to see anything articulated in either case.

Those who are in favor of confederate symbols believe that white people rightfully should be dominating and in power. And they see black people getting those symbols removed as black political or economic power, which threatens them. Historically every progress or perceived progress by black Americans is met with a white backlash against that progress. It happens every time.
