Progressive Constitutionalist versus Originalist Constitutionalist

To continue a topic you posted a thread about, you won’t because you are wrong.
Conservatives don’t believe in living constitution.
I see you still don’t understand.
There is no relationship between one being a conservative and being an Originalist Constitutionalist.
Or for that matter, one being a liberal and being a Progressive Constitutionalist.

There may be a regressive relationship but it is not meaningful in this context.

Even though the world has evolved in the last 231 years.

Wow.
It is the responsibility of Congress to update the Constitution, not the courts.

Therein lies the problem, Congress doesn’t do diddily so the Executive and Judicial branches extend their authority into legislating.

It will be fine

Congress doesn’t do diddly by design. The problem is they’re supposed to keep the other branches in check. The executive has been using their judicial appointments to extend their power.

I agree and understand.

That said, the Constitution as originally written would make little to no sense in today's world.

Hence, amendments.

Congress is the main branch of our government by design, we are a republic.
Yup and it’s supposed to take a consensus for them to pass anything. It’s hard to get people to agree on things. The problem is these days congress isn’t interested in asserting their power or keeping the other branches in check.
