The Teamsters didn't reject the proposal, Sen OB did, as small package director and lead contract negotiator.

Don't you remember Hoffa firing him?

The headline says The teamsters rejected it. So has anyone filed grievances?

Don't care what the headline says.

That statement came from Sean OB last year, and he is no longer in the picture.

As a matter of fact, this statement was one of the reasons Hoffa fired him.

Good luck with any grievance.

So he was IN the picture when the Teamsters rejected it. I got that. Do you have anything that states the contrary since he is no longer IN the picture?

The Teamsters did not reject it. Sean OB did, without the approval of the Teamsters. That is why he was fired.

Here is just 1 article. There are thousands.

O’Brien Fired as Top Teamsters Negotiator in UPS Contract Talks

I still have a problem with the situation being labeled as he "was fired".

It was an appointed position, serving at the discretion of the IBT President.

Whatever the reason for the dismissal, it's a major fopa....

to then join forces with other political rivals. That makes it look justified.

It will all be water under the bridge when Sean becomes president of the teamsters in 2021...

That's a little presumptuous.

At this point, we don't even know who is running and what the make-up of the

slates will be. If Sean is serious, he will dump Fred Z.... or lose.

The last time a TDU slate won, was with Ron C.

And look what happened with that.

OK.

He was removed.

My point stands. For the time being, the no PVD's went out the door with him.

Anyone filing grievances for the subcontracting with PVDs? Teamsters had already rejected this but UPS seems to be doing it in every center.

Teamsters Reject UPS Proposal for Full-Time Seasonal Personal Vehicle Drivers

The personal vehicle driver thing is quite a greedy move by UPS but because the PVD meets with drivers away from the building, nobody sees it taking place to file a grievance against it. UPS is transferring the massive costs of maintaining a delivery vehicle onto a poor low-wage driver who can barely afford to pay his/her vehicle notes and saving the company millions. This really should be illegal to not compensate these drivers 100% for all wear/tear/damage caused during delivery clock hours. Not 10% or 75% recovery, but 100% of the maintenance that UPS would normally have to perform should be given to the personal driver, including mechanic hours that would have been required for such maintenance to be performed at the center. Free oil changes, headlight replacements, tail light replacements, blinker and relay replacements, windshield replacements from rock cracks, etc., new tires, coolant, UPS logos for the doors and back window, and $.50 over the price of all gasoline consumed TO and FROM the first and last delivery location, and this is just a few of the compensations that the company owes these drivers!

Knowing that UPS would NEVER agree to compensating such a driver fairly, it should be demanded that until the company does agree to do this that the PVD should be banned immediately and whoever files a grievance on it gets 3x his/her hourly pay rate for every hour the company screwed over a PVD and his vehicle.

I respect your position BUG but there is no way Hoffa gets re-elected after this contract fiasco, none.
