High top work boots are preferred. However, just about anything goes these days. I don't know how long that will last. Get the best most protective(yet comfortable) shoe/boot you can afford. This can never be wrong. Don't give them any reason to bitch at you.

Choose comfortable but work effective. You’re going to go through some shoes loading so don’t spend crazy on them. Some people use regular shoes some like work boots. I like work boots but please don’t get steel toe you will screw your feet up.

I have the same boots you're looking at they work great. Get some insole inserts to cushion your feet. The steel toe will help you keep a toe from getting crushed by a 70 pound box falling on it.

Semi loading or small truck preloading?
On the preload where I am, that mesh will get you in trouble. They want leather, or something else solid.
I would go with composite toe, maybe?
Lighter is better.
I do have steel toe.
