i think hedges was talking about certain religious people or even atheists who arent religious and are hysterical about islam and meanwhile christianity has got this going on

christianity is political it seems to me. vantexan and i describe jesus as a revolutionary in his time.
He was revolutionary with regards to changing the heart of a person, and making true believers. The Jewish system was corrupt and only concerned with outward motives.
It had absolutely nothing to do with politics or creating a social justice political movement which is what your group is involved with. They use a form of "God" to line their own pockets.

You mean, read the Old Testament? Would be hard to follow it and be a Christian since Christ wasn’t in the Old Testament.
I know what you mean when you said this. Reading the OT only will not give you instructions on how to become a Christian.
But, Christianity is in the OT. It is prophesied.
The theme of the OT is the Christ, the Messiah, the King is coming. He fulfilled over 300 things written about him in the OT. He's in there.

Agreed I only meant there wouldn’t have been anything called Christianity because Christ hadn’t come yet. But yeah, I probably wasn’t really clear.

Is Christianity prophesied? Is a complete replacement of Judaism prophesied? Or was a Messiah that would lead the Jewish people back to glory and dominance prophesied?

OK, so how is taking your word on that different than anyone else who make claims without documentation? Not trying to be rude. For example where in the Old Testament, which belonged to the Jews, does it say that a completely different religion will arise replacing their religion?

About halfway in time between Mt. Sinai and the death of Jesus, God foretold through Jeremiah that the Old Covenant would be replaced with a New Covenant. Jeremiah 31:31-34. This prophesy goes perfect with Hebrews 8:7-13. The writer argues from a 600-year-old prophecy that God had intended all the time to remove the faulty Old Covenant and to establish a faultless New Covenant. This New Covenant became effective after the death of Christ (Heb. 9:16-17), after the first Covenant was taken away (Heb. 10:9-10).
When Jesus died on the cross, two things were accomplished: (1) the Old Covenant was abolished, and (2) the New Covenant was established. Since the Old Covenant has been abolished, the Jews cannot be under it now as a covenant (agreement) with God.
