No you brushed it aside and criticized his point of view. You merely acknowledged that people interpret the Bible differently and didn’t go into why at all.
Also, you should be aware that just because you come here to start an argument I never once criticized him. I actually told him I thought he was being sincere in his belief but that I would question it, in regards to blaspheming the Holy Spirit and hopefully in his own time he would look into it himself. But again, thank you for your opinion.

Sorry you feel that way, but that is not what I said. Do not believe most Bible scholars start from the basis that the scriptures are in error. Completely different from having the disagreements about about doctrine.
They do not start from that position.
They are usually devout Christians who attend seminary. That devoutness slowly turns to an agnostic point of view on god and sometimes straight up atheism the more they learn about the Bible.

Some remain devout Christians too though. There are different types of biblical scholars, apologists, critical, etc.

I definitely don’t feel criticized by you!

Sure, I get it. I understand it. we all struggle with disbelief from time to time.

It doesn’t and it says the opposite.
Women need to shut their bitch mouths while in the house of god and if they have questions they need to ask their husband at home.

“A woman a should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.”

“As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church”

If you ever see a woman speaking in your church make sure you make her be quiet and submit to you.
I’ll give this a shot with my wife and see how it works out! 😂😉

Oh so we have access to the original manuscripts to prove this?
The Old Testament was the Jewish law and history handed down for generations. The New Testament is a collection of epistles passed around the various congregations. Both were eventually translated into Latin. Do I know if what we have today is unaltered from ancient texts? I take it on faith that it is. Bible scholars examine the original language texts. Men have devoted their lives to understanding the nuances of Aramaic Greek and Hebrew. But just because the English speaking world has translations in English doesn't mean that people who speak other languages don't have their own translations into their languages. Were you thinking people in Spain are reading the King James Version?

I’ll take that as a no.

I didn't really see the biblical references to use as a guide as to whether I should want to have my pastor be a woman. I'm not convinced it a sin but I would like to be assured that it's the proper way to follow Christ in His purpose for me

Ok. Maybe try praying about it and read it again.

Get back to me.

Galatians 3:28 states, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus". This verse emphasizes the unity of believers in Christ, transcending earthly distinctions like ethnicity, social status, and gender.
