Was at a post Fourth barbecue yesterday, the host made the following statement during a conversation about the Texas Flood:

“Makes me think, why would God choose those children, little girls from a Christian camp? I would think sweeping away a prison or something of that nature would be a better choice, just makes me think.

He didn’t say this with a tone of judgement, just a tone of sincere questioning?

I have been taking to God about this event. It has impacted me more than many other similar natural disasters, I don’t know why but my heart is broken about it.

Where is the love when a preacher preaches with the intention of hurting peoples feelings?

I see no love in that motivation.
What do you"feel" when you have transgressed God's Law and sinned?
What do you "feel" when you approach God in prayer and confess your sin(s) and ask for forgiveness?

You suckered me in.

Judas was a follower but not a believer- John 6:64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

Sam Morris is an idiot unless the quote is out of context.
There is a difference between failing and completely turning from God which is what Hebrews 6 is about. Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

You can't come back after you leave.

The reason there is talk of once saved always saved is this -
John 10:25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

So you believe as Browny does that your soul can be saved then it can be unsaved?

Please describe to me in real terms an example of a person’s life at the exact moment their soul goes from being in a saved state to an unsaved state.

Thanks in advance.

Question:

A friend of mine is having some struggles with his marriage. He claims his wife is chronically verbally abusive. He also claims he lovingly confronted her personally and privately about this habitual and chronic sin against him, yet this behavior continues and he claims it is getting worse.

He also claims that he confronted her about this with a married couple from their church that they both have been friends with for years and he claims this behavior continues and actually it is getting worse.

They are both official members of a church.

Do you think he should bring his wife’s sin against him to the leaders of the church?

The Apostle Paul addresses marital problems in 1st Corinthians chapter 7. My wife and I have lived separately since mid 2020. She wasn't getting the money she wanted and was extremely harsh for several years. We won't get divorced and recently she has started back to church and given up smoking pot. So who knows?

Do you have a viewpoint on the actual situation and question I presented?

Only if she's publicly berating him and bringing reproach on the Church. Otherwise it's a private matter. Many ministers give counseling sessions.
