Simon, who believed and was baptized (became a Christian/ Saved Acts 8:13)"He that believes and is baptized shall be saved"-Jesus, Great Commission.
He sinned by wanting to buy the power of the Holy Spirit with money. Notice what Peter says to him in Acts 8 "No biggy, Brother! Once you're saved, No worries, No repentance, No asking for forgiveness! You don't need to!! Nothing is required! There's gonna be a guy named Calvin that's gonna come along in a few hundred years and get everyone believing this, too!
Or.... Did he say this..
“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are in the gall
c of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.” And Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”
Sounds like ole Simon is lost if he doesn't do what the apostle told him to do. That once I'm saved I'll can never be lost false teaching is a lie.
