The difference between you and me is I don't mind sharing my mistakes. You would never do that but would represent yourself as superior to someone like me. What it comes down to is money. Education only means something to you if it resulted in having more money. And if you have more then you're a winner, at least compared to me. That's a wonderful philosophy.
I’m pretty sure I said the philosophy transfers to every decision in life, reading is fundamental. I’ve made plenty of mistakes, but I generally learn and I keep my mouth shut when I know people have made better choices than me because I want to hear what they have to say and not continue to make life altering mistakes. 🤷‍♂️

And Mexico last I looked had a 40% poverty rate. The Philippines had a 70% poverty rate. It's definitely higher than I'd like but most aren't in poverty and it's a stereotype based on the past.

I couldn’t care less about Mexico or the Philippines. And we are talking about American rates.

As opposed to making it up as you go? K, I'll take that.
Again from where I’m sitting your expertise and advice on anything is suspect and somewhat hilarious, I’m not trying to be mean but as a I’m not trying to be mean, but as an adult, you have to have discernment, and you will know people by the fruit of what they’ve done in there life. but have a great weekend. I’m headed off to visit my grandfather’s grave at the military cemetery.

As if my life experiences don't matter. When I was humping for FedEx my life choices were bad because I didn't choose to work for UPS for more money. My life choices were bad because I chose to remain a courier instead of becoming a manager. Both were choices I was given the opportunity to make. I preferred to turn off the job when I clocked out and spend my time reading and following politics. If I could've gotten paid for that I'd have jumped at it because a typical day saw me do as much of that as I did working. It's priorities. You look at your possessions and take great satisfaction and pride in that. Appeals to you. Doesn't do a thing for me. My anger toward FedEx wasn't over not being able to buy everything I wanted. It was over having less freedom when I left. Not being able to help my family. I have a $1840 a month pension. If I had the pension and 401k I should've had I would be able to give my mother more than the $150 a month I give her. The $100 a month I give my dad. The $325 a month I give my wife. I don't care about the best house in the best neighborhood. And pretty sure many Native Americans don't care about that either.

I’m not gonna have time to read all of that, but your life experience matters of course, it should be a warning and cautionary tale to others on what not to do, and how not to act on most big decisions. 🤷‍♂️

Are you sure? Is that what your life on the res has shown you? Oh wait, you never lived on a rez. How would you know what they want? Seems a little presumptuous.

And your link showed Native American poverty was less among their children than blacks or Hispanics. Which seems right because when people have children they're usually working to support them. Overall though the rates are only a little higher than other groups but not the extremely high rates that were being said here.

Those with casinos skewed the stats.

So they’re only a little bit in poverty. That’s comforting.

You were saying poverty was huge on reservations. Terrible conditions. Not what I saw. No one is going to mistake an average reservation for a typical middle class suburb. But it's mostly solid working class on the ones I saw.
