Yeah, "60 Minutes" did a segment awhile back how nursing shortage in England was taking away English speaking nurses from South Africa. Pointed out how wealthy nations were causing a brain drain amongst developing nations. Is that really fair to them?
It’s a global economy.

Oh, I understand, we need immigration of people willing to do jobs Americans won't do. Gotcha, as Sarah Palin might say.
No. I think you’d see doctors in America reconsider their stance. I don’t think that would be a bad thing.

I understand your point.
They should reconsider their stance on repaying student loans, and maybe starting a family and providing for them nicely, and possibly leaving a legacy.
Add to that our civil legal system and malpractice insurance as impediments to providing nicely and possible legacy.
I hope you understand I'm not too concerned about what you consider a bad thing when you are not aware of (or honest enough to) recognize a silent coup.

Think we can’t find doctors from Great Britain, Germany, Japan, India, Mexico, Columbia, South Africa, Kenya, Spain, Ireland, France, New Zealand, Pakistan, China, South Korea, Brazil, Iceland, Canada...ok, maybe not Canada...

Fact is, there are doctors and specialists that would be here in a moments notice to fill any vacancy over night.
Oh, I understand, we need immigration of people willing to do jobs Americans won't do.
Gotcha, as Sarah Palin might say.
I would qualify FLs agreement to:
...we need immigration of people to do jobs that American citizens are not qualified to do.
We absolutely DO NOT need any immigrants to do jobs Americans wont do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Americans will do any job if they are paid enough!

The reason we are in the pickle we are in now is keeping jobs artificially low-paying by bringing in immigrants to do jobs that are kept artificially low.

Actually we don't have a market based healthcare system.
Easily explainable on my part. I responded to your assertion, you go first.
It's a conversation "we need to have," to frame it as every progressive leftist, does when they want to speak without listening.
Got that right!

So the medical field is not to be reformed? All that is shall continue as always.

Move aside old man.

because one makes headline news even though its only 1/3 of the number of deaths of the other.

if 45,000 americans commit suicide by gun like a cult all at once, then it would make news. but because its for profit healthcare, and because its non sensationalist, it doesnt. the same people who own the news also own the healthcare and they want to keep the $$$ rolling, 45,000 dead americans or not.

btw how much are these news companies paying the public to use the public airwaves and what standard of journalism are they supposed to reach, if any?

charles manson symbolized evil, but has kissinger or any US presidents ever symbolized evil the way he did? after all they killed far more people than manson.

another example of people not connecting the dots is the title of this thread itself. so we hear about terrorism when its domestic terrorists (MAYBE) or definitely muslim terrorists. but do we ever hear about police terrorizing minority communities or state terrorism from our own govts? its pretty well know and not really debatable.
45,000 is the highest estimated number. (The estimates are from 0-45,000). What are the numbers for socialised countries?

When I was a kid we had group health. It was said that group health was the poorest healthcare because they were a co op. They would start with the cheapest cures first. I have heard many stories of people dieing of diseases because of the time it took to eliminate non-life threatening diagnosis.

I cannot say for sure if any of the stories have merit, just as you can’t confirm 99% of what you post. But I won’t tout lies like you do.

My dad passed away from kidney cancer. It took many months for them to come to the conclusion of cancer. Now it is difficult to compare 1994 medicine with 2019 medicine, but today I feel my medical is far superior to the co-op socialized medicine I grew up with.

There is no official number. People with an agenda against something quote the 45,000 figure. What is the official figure for socialized medicine? Again you should find out the facts before quoting people.

I hear it differently. Canada is more favorable to other socialized medicine because of its vicinity to America. Get facts before you spew off your lies please. So what is the number?

My medical is strides above the social medicine I had as a kid. My neighbor needs a heart transplant, he says he couldn’t get one if he was still in Canada.
