It is now legally on record that they are not on board. If someone were to get in an accident, or member or general public lose lives. Makes lawsuits against ups easier.

Why? UPS was complying with the DOT's 60 hour rule, and is STILL complying with the DOT's 70 hour rule.

When will people learn that businesses especially those who are very wealthy and worldwide..will never truthfully put people above profit? The safety first thing is garbage to them, they HAVE to say "be safe". The only person who gives an actual damn about your safety..is you.

Let's see them do this for a year and watch Tier 3 go up. They didn't put in backup cameras till after they got sued a few times.
Oh, I agree with "tired people will get in more accidents".
I'm not sure that "lawsuits will be easier"...
The company has complied with the rules, not their fault the dumb drivers don't get enough sleep. (Devils Advocate)

Safety is a very large cost and contributes largely to the companies profitability, so to state "its garbage" to them is incorrect.

They have those rules in place to protect THEIR ASS not yours. So to correct myself..your safety is garbage to them until it effects their profit.

Yep. That's how companies work. "We'll wait until a few people die first".

. You don't run a "14" hour marathon the same as an "8" or "10" hour. If delivery drivers are "industrial athletes" by management expectations; as such, an athlete would need to adjust to changing conditions and expect the unexpected, by working a less grueling pace to compensate. It seems simple: conserve energy, relax, slow down.

But don't they also get on your ass when you're not delivering fast enough (in their opinion)?
