The company can forget about optional early starts on Monday. We were out in the parking lot and walked in together before start time. All of New England is taking action.

Cool.

Any pics ?

In the Central, an early Monday start is an option.

"In areas where the Union and the Employer agree, the start time shall be uniform except where the Employer is able to schedule an earlier start time for the package driver employees on Mondays or days after holidays, when merchandise is available for dispatch."

Man, what a dumb thing to do. Here is what the public is thinking:

"All they do is ride around in a truck all day, they make enormous money, UPS gives them a helper for Peak..... and they complain about it!"

You correctly state that a mutually agreed upon earlier start time on Monday is an option; however, no where in the language that you posted does it state that the drivers have the option of ignoring that and coming in at their regularly scheduled time.

Spend all year complaining about leaving the building late.

Finally have the chance to leave the building early and everybody refuses. Well okay then.

That's because we are not leaving early. We still wait around as a slow trickle of packages keeps coming.

Started at 8am didn't leave till 930. No reason for me to be there other then to cut the PT guys that are going on 9 hours.
