I would possibly if I had a better/larger garage. I just was looking at the Ram for the 5.9 it has for my Dakota. Only 144k on it.

Timing chains need replace about every 100,000 miles (sooner on some vehicles). And it isn't cheap. I was quoted something like $3,000 on a VW Passat---got rid of that POS as soon as I could.

Belts, not chains.
