Weren't raises supposed to be effective Oct 1? Well, on my Oct 9 pay stub, I was paid my old rate for the whole week. Subsequent pay stubs show no retro pay.

I don't think he cares about UPS pay structures.
Actually, it's not irrelevant. Our 1st Quarter is from June 1 - September 30. Why wait the 2 days? If October 1st was a Tuesday, you would have lost the raise for almost a whole week.

Zero increase in take home. looks like the 6% just put me in a higher tax bracket.
Adjust your W-4.
Or increase your 401K by 2-3% to bring you back down.

My paycheck had both my old and new rates for the week of Oct 2nd. (Oct 1-2 paid at new wage, Sep 28-30 at old wage).
