I covered a route one time where I delivered a box of wine to a business. The woman there said, If were ever not here you can leave our wine outside the door downstairs. That’s what “Bob” always does. Uh no. I can’t do that. I can get fired for that. I must need my job more than “Bob”. Lol.

Same kind of thing happened to me, when I was a newbie driver.


Residential customer that ran a business from their home (pre-internet) that got

decent sized delivery's and had a scheduled daily pickup. Delivering one day, and

the customer's wife came out as I was loading up the hand cart. One of the boxes

broke open from the bottom and out spills "toys" of all sorts. I was laughing so

hard, I dropped to one knee.... while she was telling me to shut up.


Was telling everyone about it the next day. Seems I was the only one who

didn't know what their business was....
