Back From Break
I started at like $6.25 an hour and that was EXCELLENT pay back then.

It sure was. Around $40.90 in todays dollars.

Marty Peters said in an interview his starting hourly wage was 95 cents per hour.
Of course over the next 63 years he was making a bunch more...

Between my new wife (and her State of Mn. job) we made almost 10 bucks an hour together. We had money coming out our ears. We save $10,000 the first year of our marriage and used that for a down payment on an $18,000 lake home. We were the envy of our crowd and had parties at our house almost every weekend. Good times.
