you could try it, file the grieve, we order the seals and red tag it until they come in and if it’s better great if not they covered their ass according to the contract. The section 17 part you posted is the most helpful. As for section 1 The company defines safe as meeting fed requirements and their is nothing in the law about dust in cab.

I would wait until after peak because your going to be target #1 for a long time if you force them to down trucks for this during peak. Sure you can make sure you follow all methods but do you really want that kind of stress.

Open the vents to the cargo area to pressurize it, drive with the doors and windows closed, open the vent by drivers side foot to pressurize the cab, have a fan installed and blowing at all times. This all greatly helps reduce the amount of dust that gets in the truck.

My route is 200+ miles of mostly dirt and gravel roads and the amount of dust that gets in my truck is very minimal now that I started doing the above things.
This is pure gold, thank you. Tried it today and worked well
