It’s similar to a grand jury. No evidence to continue.
When Michael Brown charged Officer Wilson Brown's buddy said Wilson executed him in the street on his knees. Quite a few eyewitnesses disputed that. Witnesses matter. But of course doesn't stop people from wanting to believe Brown was executed.
You don't have to prove your case to a grand jury to indict. Take the Supreme Court ruling on the Texas lawsuit. They never argued the merits of the case. Just voted to not hear it. The courts punted.

The cases weren't dismissed for lack of evidence, I know that can be hard to accept. The Judges, particularly the Trump appointees, had no real reason not to allow the cases to go to discovery. If there wasn't sufficient evidence after discovery to establish standing, then dismiss the case without controversy. Wonder why they wouldn't allow discovery.

The more stuff that comes out this thing, the closer it appears we got to these trump rioters riled up by their bizarre conspiracies and visions of a civil war incited by trump and the gop lies about voter fraud, killing actual congress people. Very dangerous stuff.

Comparing what happened with the anti police riots to what happened here is illogical. the anti police riots are about a real problem, police violence against black Americans. This voter fraud stuff is phony bs. We can prevent riots over police violence by policy changes to how the police operate and how they are punished when they are violent. These voter fraud lies have no remedy because they are made up. Finally, democratic political leadership didn’t start the riots. trump and republicans directly started the riots in the capital building. There are more differences but those are the ones I think of.

The potus incited a riot in which some of those rioters were targeting actual congress people for murder and in which five people died based on his lies, he has said nothing about the dead. This is the plain reality of it all.

I always just go to the "new post" feed. Current Events threads usually make up 90% of those. It's interesting how people experience this site differently. It actually took me a while to find out there were different forums, and that in most of the other ones you are expected to stay on topic.
