WASHINGTON - Rush Limbaugh has been called the godfather of the GOP, a conservative firebrand whose enormous following by millions of disciples known as "dittoheads" has given him unprecedented clout in the Republican party.
"While Republican leaders owe no apology for Mr. Limbaugh's comments, they do have a responsibility to repudiate them — and him," the Washington Post wrote in a weekend editorial.
"For the good of U.S. political culture — or at least its own political self-interest — the GOP must distance itself from Mr. Limbaugh."
Conservative David Frum, the Canadian-born pundit and former George W. Bush speechwriter, has warned Republicans for years about the dangers Limbaugh poses to the party.

This whole story shows how the GOP faithful will defend limbaugh till the end despite how many GOP top leaders denounce his comments.

Everytime an election comes around, RUSH is EMBRACED by the GOP for this thoughts and endorsement, then he is THANKED for his on air thoughts on conservatism, and yet, when he says something STUPID, he gets reduced to an ENTERTAINER and no longer has any credibility.
RUSH is an uneducated windbag who panders to the lowest common denominator in american politics.
I am glad his advertisers are leaving his show. More should do the same. I am more curious on how he opens the show today and if he tries to take his feet out of his mouth or he doubles down again.

Perhaps if you actually had an actual thought of your own on this issue, you would see that this is a simple case of INSURANCE COVERAGE and WOMENS RIGHTS which you are NOT a part of. Why do the MEN of the GOP feel they can decide what is in a WOMENS best interests?
