How is she going to automate the 22.3s that sleep in the office?

@scratch there is a big rumor your building will be closed and work shifted to Pdale and Smart
Feeder and one sort are already at Smart.

I also heard Fayette and Griffin will be closed and sent to Macon.
But who knows?

With automation being the future of UPS, I bet all you guys complaining about the vaccines having microchips are feeling like fools now. #cyborglivesmatter

Serious question tho - has Carol ever done a full day ride? I'm not talking about running a route, but a full day ride. She's so far removed from the bread n butter shes starvin'

Automation and the intent of such isn't novel, nor is new to UPS. This has been in the works for a very long time, and recently buildings have been closed to reroute that work to larger automated buildings, and others have been closed to remodel with automated systems. The scamdemic delayed a fair amount of this, which led to the desire to lock down a(nother) favorable contract before proceeding. She's stated repeatedly that she's very happy with a 3.3% increase in our wage costs, which means there's more room on the next contract. With fewer workers there'll be more money for us, SOB better not :censored2: that one up too.
Here’s what I’ve been wondering for a while - every new 5 year agreement has called for the creation of new jobs. HOWEVER, no one tracks this. I was surprised a few years back to learn UPS Labor doesn’t track it - why aren’t the Teamsters (i.e., S.O.B.) requiring/talking about this?

As of Investor Day 2024, UPS leadership is declaring to the world the intention to eliminate all union inside positions. Given the summary component of the latest contract below, isn’t UPS leadership announcing they negotiated in bad faith?
  • The creation of 7,500 new full-time Teamster jobs at UPS and the fulfillment of 22,500 open positions, establishing more opportunities through the life of the agreement for part-timers to transition to full-time work.

They do track it. And our local also tracks all full-time inside jobs by number.
