The US Navy in order to save $391M , will be scarping a whole fleet of anti-submarine vessels. ( that costed 3.2B to build )
Some were only commissioned last year.
Seems the new tech onboard does not work or has been deemed obsolete.

Which meant many jobs were created during the build phase ( 2007-2021 ).
Some funds could be recouped if the ships were sold.
I'm sure other navies could find a useful purpose for these vessels.

The LCS were in many ways the navy's version of the F111, perform many combat related tasks but like the F111 it couldn't do most of them well enough. A lot of money for next to nothing made worse by the soon to be confronted gigantic cost of replacing the ageing submarine fleet.
