The Shifting Demographics of the Republican Base

Chuck Todd released some statistical data pertaining to the Republican Party on “Meet The Press” today, which I found interesting.

Essentially, he inferred that college educated, suburban members of the party are leaving in droves.

Is this an attempt by the liberal media to portray the Republican base as uneducated mongoloids, or is it true that the base is indeed compromised of uneducated mongoloids?

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of the right, but I usually refrain from calling them 'slime' despite our differences in opinion on the direction this country should take, the rate of and how we spend tax monies, and how we should care for all of our citizens regardless of their societal class.

Your use of this word to describe Democrats, along with your weirdly worded attempt at being funny or sarcastic in the above post, leads me to believe that Chuck's segment on "Meet the Press" hit a little too close to home and touched a nerve with you.

I'd only say this to you - 'if the shoe fits'...your party courts the lowest common denominator and we all know this. The dumb, and your coveted single issue voters are the only two groups keeping your party relevant in these times of rapid change.

You should embrace your backwards ideas and outdated glorification of the GOP, as it's all you'll have left soon. The republican party is dying, and this current moment in time is merely the death rattle, before they take their last few breaths and fade away into earned irrelevance. Accept this, and enjoy the increases in the quality of life that will come your way in the future, when you guys stop 'clinging to your guns and religion' as if those things still belong in politics in this day and age - the youth of this country dislike guns and religion like they've been assaulted by them (they have).

Without a massive influx of new blood, your party is destined to become the dinosaurs that your already prehistoric ideas put you on the path toward a long time ago. Tradition is great and all, but change is constant, and embracing it will always be better than fighting it. Democrats embrace the changes necessary to move this country forward, the GOP does not, and this will be their ultimate downfall.

Trump stole your party right out from under your noses, and you :censored2:s helped him do it. Now you're trying to act like Trump supporters and republicans aren't one and the same?

Ok. Sure.

Yep, you've got the basic gist of how the rest of us look at you down pat. Congrats on being so self-aware, it's truly an uncommon occurrence in conservatives these days.

At least we on the left, know that ConTrolls look at us as a bunch of pusillanimous and cuckservatives who are actually ok with sharing our wealth, supporting the advancement of minorities, and regulating big business to keep them on the straight and narrow and working for our economy instead of against it, and we're fine with that. We don't put much stock into what a bunch of the dregs of society and the overlords who tell them what they're supposed to think, say about us and the direction we know is best for this country to sustain it's place in a changing world.

The people who are able to think on a global scale about where our nation fits into to the world economy and how to maintain it's standing there, are infinitely more relevant today than a group of nationalists, who fail to realize that our interests are too intertwined with the rest of the free world to fall back into a pattern of isolationism and trade wars.

Now that is what I call an emphatic proclamation!
Joe Wilson is my cousin by a different mother.

Trump is the Republican Party. He’d actually be the first person to tell you that.
Ask other Republicans off camera.

That's how they get you - the sky is falling rhetoric.

I choose to support a party and ideology of hope, change, and positive thoughts about our capabilities to get our nation back on track. The Democratic party touts the message of yes, we can. The GOP has been broadcasting a message of no, you won't, and damn sure not on my watch, you ain't.

Which one sounds more appealing to the youth of our country, you think? The one filled with optimism and pride?...or the one that sounds like an old man yelling about his lawn, and/or the animals who might take a :censored2: on it, if he isn't sitting on the porch with a 12 guage 24 hours per day?

I'll hang up and take my answer off the air, Mr. Limbaugh.

Oh to be an elitist.
If only for a moment, but just long enough to see clearly the path of prosperity.
That moment would allow me see that if we would just embrace socialism, it would pave the way for an America like have never seen.
