doge is not over, they are planned to be doing their thing through the summer of 2026. Elon is backing out but he built the team and they're still doing thier work which along with auditing waste, fraud and abuse has also turned into modernizing many of the systems. So you saw how paper retirement records are being kept in a cave in the mountains. well doge is digitizing all that to modernize the employee records. Doge is also working to get different systems communicating so its easier for the government to catch the fraud.

on a side my brother in law is retired secret service but still goes in part time to teach visitor groups and new leadership . He said Doge recently showed up at the secret service headquarters and started working there.

DOGE is active until July 4th, 2026. It's an ongoing process. Turning up $150 billion in waste, fraud, and abuse in 4 months is a good start. Making transparent how our government operates in ways that are conducive to waste, fraud, and abuse is a good catalyst for change.

the plan is to pass this bill then start taking the items discovered by doge and submitting them to be removed from the budget through a recission process.
There are still unknown factors to trumps plan a plan that has never been tried before.

a) what other cuts and spending reductions will doge fine. Social security and medicare are huge factors that can effect it. DOGE efforts to audit them are presently stalled in the courts.
b) what will be the final tariff totals be? It looks like Trump will implement at least a 10 percent tariff on everyone. that will be additional revenue that is not currently in the defiict estimate you're using.
c) Trumps people believe they have at least 10 trillion in new investments lined up. the deficit estimate you mention is based on a 2.5 percent GDP rate. If trump opens up the trade borders of other countries and gets that 10 trillion in new investments or more which he might then that 2.5 percent GDP could be a conservative number.

So the short answer is the left is calling the game as a loss when we're still in the first five minutes of the first quarter. I don't know how this will end up since its new territory but there is a lot here that is not decided yet or even close to decided.

It's a work in progress. We have to start somewhere. To just throw up your hands and say why bother isn't cutting it anymore.

All use the same printer. Seriously. Cannot help the country….why? Debt. In a free society you need instability at the bottom to push controlling narratives. We are pushing toward internal/external/intl parallel systems. Cbdc or stablecoin/Bitcoin. Play or stay down. The income market WILL be consumed. Lending government will be gazed upon like a 3rd world hustle.

Yes we need to pass this bill that skyrockets the national debt, guts social safety nets and gives massive tax breaks to billionaires to fix the country.

actually balancing govt budgets can be bad and having a surplus is bad

they need to tax the rich because oligarchy is leading to authoritarianism. been trending in that direction since at least w bush.
