I was a re-hire after a 8 year hiatus. I left on good terms and got my Teamsters withdrawal card. When I left in 2001, I told with management that that I hope to return someday. I reapplied in 2009 and was re-hired. I was re-hired for peak and had to prove myself to be worthy to stay on after Christmas. They laid of 90% of the seasonals and I stayed on. The key was showing up every night on time with a positive attitude and work as directed, the sups respect that. I have a clean record as far as never being arrested. They fingerprinted all new hires and did background checks because we work in an air hub. We have access to the airplanes that we load and the tarmac. Security is high.
