Why? Last year they projected too high. Many overstaffed and lost their asses. For the past 2 years FedEx has been telling all contractors to be ready. With all the recent contracts the FedEx has landed with the big retail companies, the contractors should have know that the projections thar FedEx gave out were going to be on the low side.
Still no excuse for a big lapse of accuracy. Why? Last year they projected too high. Many overstaffed and lost their asses.

My plan is to make money. I can't do that by over staffing and renting too many vehicles. So we as contractors can loose our asses for over staffing for the bean counters projections but that's ok since it doesn't affect them. They been jamming peak down our throats and the infamous "what is your plan" crap since August. But hey, it's our own business. The American Dream. We work for no one. Hajahah
I'm understaffed, been making a killing. My plan is to make money. I can't do that by over staffing and renting too many vehicles.
Yep. Me too.I'm understaffed, been making a killing.
For four weeks out of the year, probably. I'm out til 7pm every day with them.If you are both understaff, your probably abusing your drivers.

Almost true. Missed my youngest son's indoor game last Saturday and only made my older son's game at 8:55pm because the games were running late. This week looks to be the same. That's only because soccer season is over.
