You want all people to think alike???? How boring that would be. A bunch of walking dead zombies. That would be like only blue in the 64 color Crayola box!! Even a 3 year old wants more than that.

In the meantime we can add a little truth in advertising and change our name to the Divided States of America.

Well at least we all can agree that we are united about the fact that we are divided. LOL

804,

I do not agree with your views most of the time ---but on Politicians --we are united.

Look at the Teamsters and UPS. Both sides sat down and negotiated an agreement that will enable the company to continue to grow and prosper while protecting union jobs.

Why has the Government not hammered out solutuions to the Debt, Spending, Creating jobs, fixing the economy, real healthcare solutions ,Education reform,Tax reform etc etc. ?

By not creating real solutions --they have job security, keep their power, live like Kings and Queens--tell us how lucky we are to have them "serving" us while they make sure that me and you will agree on very little --and root blindly for one side or the other --no matter what they do ----TOS and moreluck are good examples of this.

"One growing series of protests has been the “Moral Monday” demonstrations in North Carolina. They do not have ‘one demand’ but rather are challenging the systemic corruption, undermining of democracy and misdirection of a state government that puts human needs second to corporate profits – which they have dubbed ‘Robin Hood in Reverse.’"

Speaking of corruption, whats the point of this all over the place article? Is there one particular part of it you had in mind for us to read? If it's the part I've posted here, no smile*, a Robin hood mentality for any government, forward or reverse is hardly a successful or moral way to govern.

I don't root bllndly.........normally I'm against every word that comes out of Rangel's mouth. He was quite angry In the irs hearings. Good job Charlie!
Tomorrow he may put his foot in it again, but the hearing day was exceptional.
I do weigh each situation.....it just turns out I'm on the one side most of the time.......... I will never accept the ACLU just like many Teamsters don't accept the TDU.

Well if you are against the ACLU, then you are engaged in a War on Christmas.

Like with Rangel, maybe you should open your mind just a little bit farther.

Thanks for spelling Christmas correctly - ya know, unlike most who are trying to eradicate most references to it from society ;)

Your welcome and besides, the vast, vast, vast majority of christians don't understand nor practice the real Christmas traditions anyway. If they did, they'd either abandon Christianity or abandon the practice of Christmas.

Hardly. It's no secret Dec 25 is hardly the day Jesus of Nazareth born. It was originally a day pagan gods where celebrated, so purposefully chosen by early church elders to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Centuries later multiple millions of people world wide celebrate the birth of the Jewish carpenter from Nazareth but most have all but forgotten the pagan false gods.

This is because they threw the baby out with the bath water. hmmm that might not be the
best way to put it.

The early leaders, after the original witnesses, and their decendents passed and were killed, shunned
all things Jewish and or Torah.

The Most High, had certain dates. They are called the Feast days. The Jews were commanded to
observe them forever.

Pesach / Passover was when Jesus / Yeshua was sacrificed and died.

Shavout / Pentecost when the Spirit was poured out.

So some with Jewish understanding point to Succot or Feast of Tabernacles as His birth time.

The one clue in the accounts is in Luke, the 6 month of term of John the Baptist and His Father a High Priest,
and Mary visiting her cousin, are clues to those who really want to know and search with an open heart.

I do not know that I know, but to me, it was not 25 December.

I never argue about this, but to those that really want to know, seek the whole record openly
and do not shun that Jesus / Yeshua was a 100 percent Jewish man, not a blue eyed
light skinned, light brown haired caucasian.

Man talk about a thread derail.

It is going to have to get much worse for the 2 establishment parties to get things done. Too much hate and distrust of the other side (not TOS).Too much gotcha politics and made up "scandals". Too much worrying about presidential politics or midterms, etc. When they do agree these days its to take away our rights or reward their wealthy powerful benefactors. They stopped working for the 99%!! The two party system is a game they play and the same wealthy powerful own both establishment parties. As a Green/Socialist/Progressive, I feel mostly left out of the mainstream debates. I feel engaged and hopeful only when groups like OWS are out there speaking truth to power (i know you probably hate them but they are our only hope for progress)...especially when I can join them directly. Otherwise we are stuck yelling and screaming and posting at each other...going nowhere fast!!
