Time To End The Shutdown?

In Trump, alas, we have a man renowned for intellectual incontinence, rather than discipline. His plans to fight this pandemic vary from hour to hour, minute to minute. He has all the focus of a moth. It’ll miraculously disappear I mean it’s a mild flu I mean it’s serious I mean reopen the country I mean don’t reopen the country I mean yes reopen the country I mean I have absolute authority I mean the governors will do it.

Interesting how he only calls for isolation of the infected and exposed, not everyone. I didn't see where they mention how many samples they tested, or if and how they controlled for false positives/negatives. To say it's impossible that covid-19 hit the US before January is not logically consistent with the information presented in the article.

Other factors to consider, that everyone is ignoring, when comparing California to New York are population density and weather. People tend to spend more time outside when the weather is nice, which helps slow the spread of respiratory illness. This fact is well understood, but is being completely overlooked in the discussion of the pandemic.

Regarding donald, this is a person who thinks the friend-35 stealth aircraft is literally invisible. So yeah, his mind is certainly incapable of understanding something like a pandemic.

Might as well reopen. Ha!friend the nation is doing whatever they want anyway. Those who stay concerned will at least continue taking precautions and those that won't will continue what they are doing.

When i first read about their experiment , it kind of made sense. Like a forest fire sweeping thru and perhaps not destroying as much as a long lingering fire so to speak. But I did understand the rational about putting too much strain on our medical service.

Then read about the long extended shutdowns hurting the economy long term and that the "cure was worse than the disease " That made some sense also. With most people ( 97-98%) surviving , why not just get it over with?

This will be debated for a long time. What will we tell families who lost jobs, lost homes , businesses failed , divorces , etc etc etc. ???? That we did this for their own good.????

Already seeing some rebellions in some parts of the country about reopening. If my families financial future was in dire straights I would say the hell with it and do some kind of work. After the 97 strike I was laid off and was cleaning houses and doing all kinds of odd jobs for $10 an hour.

Did the “club” close down after the strike

ha , you ain't lying.
I've been to Wisc. hundreds of times (even have some Wisc. friends. --- I know all about those drunks. We were at a big NHRA drag race one summer with a half a dozen Wisc. buddies. One of them lost his billflold down a deep outhouse pit. He lowered his buddy down by the ankles and he grabbed it (for a 100 dollar reward).

I believe it was at the same race one of those Wisc. drunks was riding around in a gold cart wearing a Nixon mask screaming "I am not a crook" when some clown came out of no where and punched him square in the face screaming "I hate Nixon". That's was fun watching Nixon beat the crap out of a guy.

I used to deliver boats cross country and my favorite dealers were in Mn and Wisconsin. They always wanted me to hang out and have a few drinks. One dealer in MN talked me into going to this lake to help him move an ice fishing house. Everyone on the lake was drunk as hell and it was midweek.
