I like tools as much as the next guy but I would draw the line at buying anything that was too nice to use.

Lol none of it is too nice to use. It's just new. Or wiped down. Any chrome I use I spray quickly with brake cleaner and wipe down before I put it up.

Some wrenches I have coming in I couldn't decide chrome or satin finish. Apparently everyone loves the satin. I just couldn't pull the trigger. Chrome it is.

The chrome looks nice, but sometimes the grip is a little sketchy when things get messy.

This is true. The old craftsman raised panel will still have a purpose.

I also don't like the ones that are really slender for high torque work. It hurts, especially for my surgically repaired right middle.

That's why I went with wright over snap on for this latest wrench set
