Silly you'd pretend that the US has ever rivaled China, the Soviet Union and North Korea in imprisonments, executions and disappearings of their citizens.
US currently locks up more people per capita than those countries. It also practices the death penalty something most other developed countries dont do. and if you factor deaths and injured people from wars abroad, its hard to see how US is that different from those countries you listed.
