Tuition assistance programs for PT Feeder Dispatch Supervisor?

I'm looking into applying for a job, specifically one with tuition assistance. I know Earn & Learn is available for PT package handlers, but what tuition assistance is available for positions like PT Feeder Dispatch Supervisor? I have a college degree and supervisory experience, so I was hoping for a position with a little higher pay than package handler.

Thanks for your help!

Might want to try the partners forum for info about management positions, that is where management hangs out.

I tried to post this in the UPS Partners forums but it just got merged with this thread. Could someone move it to the UPS Partners forum so it gets some attention? Thanks!

I moved this back into the Partner's Forum since it is a question regarding tuition assistance with a management position.

If you already have a degree why are you interested in tuition assistance?

Why would you want to throw yourself into the living hell known as "feeder dispatch"?
1. I'm working on my graduate degree. I have 50% or so finished already, but would like tuition assistance for the on-campus portion if at all possible.

2. I don't know anything about it. What's so bad about it? I figure it'd be easier on me than package handling, since I have some minor lower back and shoulder issues.

There is tuition assistance available for Management. $5,250 a year with a $25K lifetime limit. If you are already an employee, log into UPSERS.com and search for tuition reimbursement for more details.

What degree do you have / are you pursuing? UPS does have a number of fields which you could pursue beyond Hub or Feeders.

My undergraduate degree is in the humanities (journalism) and I'm pursuing a theological degree, so I don't think it is directly relevant to any of the other areas. The chances of UPS being a life-long career are very low for me.

Also, is the tuition assistance you mentioned available at all locations or only the ones that offer Earn & Learn?

I'm not an employee yet so I can't log in to see if it is offered at the location I'm looking to apply to (Louisville Centennial Hub)

I don’t think there’s any tuition assistance for a graduate degree anymore. I remember back in the early 90s a ton of people getting MBAs on UPS’s dime and then leaving as soon as they were done. Smart move on their part but I think they cut off the $ for graduate degrees since then.

Woah that's news to me if true!

For PT supervisors, there still is.

Above that, it's either a hard no (really, just a hard no for specialists) or some significant approval being necessary (good luck). If you do manage to get approved, it can only be for a master's (and one relevant to the business objectives of UPS), you can't already have any other graduate degree, and UPS will in addition to other limits only pay $150 per credit hour. Oh, and you have to pay it "all" (I mean, with per credit hour limit you're basically paying for the vast majority of the degree all out of your pocket anyway) back if you separate from the company a few years after having your degree partially paid for by UPS.

As a pt supervisor you qualify for more reimbursement than being a package handler. Should be about 2000-2500 per semester. Doesn’t matter if you’re a supervisor in feeders, hub, or package.

That's good to hear. Does this apply at all locations, not just the ones listed for Earn & Learn? The Louisville Centennial Hub isn't listed for Earn & Learn for some reason, but this PT sup job is at that location.
