Russia feels threatened by NATO.It would almost be like if Canada or Mexico became communist.

when the Soviet Union broke up they lost about half their GDP plus all that territory, people , etc. They have about the same size economy as Spain now.

I read an interesting book a couple years ago call the Next Hundred years or something similar.

The author stated 2 reason why there would never be a foreign troop invasion on US soil.

1. The supply chain would be almost impossible to keep troops fed and armed.
