The Greek government borrowed heavily from banks not only in Greece but all over to pay for all those benefits ricky. Sooner or later the bill comes due. They couldn't service their debt. Had to accept austerity measures which made a lot of Greeks unhappy. Want fantastic government paid benefits? You have to start with a very strong economy. Even then only within reason. Some people are like children who pitch a fit when their parents won't buy them candy. Candy, ice cream, all the sweets should be limited, not the main focus of diet. Same with benefits. Get across the board solid jobs. Then you can start talking about the government assisting with various things.
