What does UPS pay us for after we retire? Unused vacation, sick, optional days in the year we leave. It would be nice to get the extra pay but I don't want to leave money on the table.
You will still get paid for next years earned vacation time.Depend on your supplement .
I plan to use up all my days prior to retiring .
You shouldn't lose any earned day or weeks. It's all about planning ahead.I guess most are ready to go asap. I was wondering what weeks they will pay us for and what are considered use or lose.
My original plan was to work up until my 30 year mark and then take all of my sick, personal and vacation time but I think now I will do what everyone else does and work backwards from my retirement date.
Backwards? How do you mean. I will just get my 5th week vacation on my 30th yr.in November. Which means I probably will leave after the last x Mas. On January 1st. /19

We can't request a payout for our sick days at anytime we want.id like to use some vacas and sick days before I retire even though I know the reason for working backwards. it takes about 3 months to get 1st pension check but i'll save some money up for bills.

I was a little confused by her post. Wasn't sure if she wanted to burn off sick time or take the money.I think he's saying he is going to use some sick days as time off.
I may have posted incorrectly of your gender, my apologies. I think if you retire on the last day of the month you should get your first pension check the next day. Can this not happen in your situation?id like to use some vacas and sick days before I retire even though I know the reason for working backwards. it takes about 3 months to get 1st pension check but i'll save some money up for bills.
